About Me

A Little About Me

As someone who’s a client myself, I know how hard it can be to sit across from a stranger and open up. That’s why I place so much value on the therapeutic relationship and strive to create a space where you feel safe, seen, and supported. Whether you're healing from childhood trauma, navigating relationship challenges, or learning to sit with difficult emotions, I'm here to offer genuine, compassionate guidance as you explore what matters most to you.

In my free time, I enjoy going for long hikes, downhill skiing, attending concerts and hanging out with my cat.

Education and Experience

I graduated with a Masters in Counselling Psychology from Yorkville University prior to achieving my Bachelor of Arts (Honours) in Psychology from Guelph University. I am currently registered with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO) and the BC Association of Clinical Counsellors (BCACC).

I began my career in mental health as a Support Worker, assisting individuals with severe cognitive and developmental delays. Afterwards, I pursued a career in psychiatry research. I assisted on clinical research studies examining issues such as addiction, depression, PTSD, and other mental health challenges. I was also involved in clinical trials investigating novel treatments like ketamine for mental health.

While my research work was rewarding, I missed the personal connections I had developed in client-facing roles. This led me to pursue a Master’s in Counselling Psychology, and I am excited to be where I am today.

  • I became a therapist because, like many, I grew up without a safe space to learn how to accept, validate, and manage my emotions. Growing up in my family, feelings weren’t often talked about. Because of this, every emotion seemed intense and unmanageable. It wasn’t until I sought therapy and learned the value of emotions and the skills to regulate them that I could finally exist without guilt or the belief that something was wrong with me.

I feel deeply grateful to now be able to help others navigate their emotional world and discover what it means to be human.

  • This seems like the obvious answer, but - my clients. I’m honoured to meet such thoughtful, unique individuals and to know them beyond the masks we often wear in daily life. As a therapist, I strive to create a space where people can truly be themselves—and in doing so, I feel deeply connected to my own humanity.

  • I’m continually learning how strong and capable people are. I used to question whether people can change—but now I’ve seen it again and again. The moment someone starts to believe in that possibility, they’ve already taken a huge step forward. Watching people face their pain and grow through it is truly inspiring.

  • Hmm… I would probably be an English teacher or work in healthcare.

  • This work asks me to turn inward and practice vulnerability with myself. My clients inspire me to do exactly that every day, and I’m proud of the steps I’ve taken toward my own healing
